Caribou Studio is film editor Luca Carrera’s post-production studio in Santa Venerina, between Catania and Taormina. We take features, documentaries, series and short films from rushes to master: editing, colour grading, compositing, finishing and technical delivery for festivals, broadcast and streamers.
Complete post-production, in Sicily
We have worked in post-production since 2004, on auteur features selected at major international festivals, series for streaming platforms and public television, and observational and archive documentaries. That experience is available to productions shooting in Sicily that would rather not move post to Rome, Milan or abroad.
What we do
- Editing: from rushes to picture lock, for fiction, documentary and series.
- Colour grading: look development, primary and secondary correction, camera matching, ACES pipeline.
- Compositing and light VFX: clean-up, removals, sky replacement, archive restoration.
- Finishing and delivery: conform, titles, subtitles, festival DCPs, IMF and ProRes masters to Rai and Netflix specs.
- Post-production supervision: workflow from set to delivery, sound and VFX liaison, post budget and schedule.

FAQ
Do you work remotely?
Yes. Editing and reviews can run remotely with secure screening links and frame-accurate notes. Final grading sessions can take place in the studio or online.
Where is the studio?
In Santa Venerina, at the foot of Etna, about half an hour from Catania and Catania airport.
Do you deliver festival DCPs?
Yes, together with subtitled versions, streamer and broadcast masters and QC before delivery.
